I have been trying to resolve a roof claim for over 6 months. The Nationwide adjuster has been dragging his feet and the fact that when I involved his co-workers who were filling in for him while he was out of the office aren’t helping him with wrapping it up has been frustrating. I got the adjuster, my contractor and my myself on a 3 way call to answer all the adjusters questions. Ended the call with adjuster satisfied he had all the information he needed to satisfy the claim. That was over a month ago. I have been a part of Nationwide for over 30 years. Now have gone to the extend to involve SCC of Virginia to help settle the matter.
I will continue to update and post status. At this point< I would recommend anyone but Nationwide. I have read AMICA is worth looking into. 5-30-23 Well, 3 weeks passed. Heard from adjuster, who completely ignored what we discussed on 3 way call. I followed up again. Ghosted by Nationwide. This past Thursday, my claim was reassigned to a new adjuster who responded with Nationwide won't approve O&P or replace siding that has gotten worse over past 7 months...Nationwide will pay for patch job....You can't patch a piece of fiberboard Hardie Plank siding in the middle of a wall of building....it's James Hardie instructs a blind nailing process. I have asked the new adjustet to review the 7 months of email correspondence and all the supporting photos and documents I have sent before we try another 3 way call tomorrow between myself, contractor and Nationwide. Thinking The SCC Rep should be on the call. Absolute incompetence.
