Love this area of Lake of the Woods . It is always a wonderful spot to view beautiful scenery on the main lake. I stopped this day to see the sunrise, and it was absolutely amazing.

What’s there to not like about this place. Awesome. Nice people too. The boat rental is very affordable too. The Bait shop owner is kind and helpful with directing us in the right direction for the best catch.

The facility being open 24 hours is few of the ones I know of. Safe place too. Limited access to the restrooms at night is a bummer but sure it is there for a reason as I understand .

Great day on the lake thanks to the bait shack operator..
Set us up with a john boat, motor and bait..
Fishing was a bit slow, prolly due to all the rain the past few days.

Great place to paddleboard. Was here on a beautiful Friday morning/afternoon. Not busy at all. Easy to get in and out of the water. The banks near the boat ramp and the boat ramp were pretty messy with animal waste but it is the outdoors after all. Mainly small fishing boats, some canoes and kayaks but it was quiet enough to let me just lay on the board and float for a while when not paddling.

I live in Culpeper so it's a 35 minute drive for me, but it's worth it. Fishing is still good here for largemouth bass and slab crappies. The lake also is a home for catfish, walleye, bluegill, and carp. Fishing is good from the bank, fishing pier, and in boats. Boats are available for rent for $20/half day and $40 for all day. Boats must be returned by 7PM but if you have your own boat or want to fish from the bank, its OK to stay all night if you want. Concession stand sells lures as well as live minnows and worms and also sells drinks. The stand is open from very early AM until 7PM.
