Luna is a 75 acre lake in Apache County, AZ. There is plenty of shore fishing and an easy access boat ramp.

The lake is clean with some algae starting to grow along the banks as of late June 2024. With an average depth of 8 feet, the lake is fairly shallow.

We caught some small trout, but the lake looks promising for larger trout.

If you’re looking for a relaxing day, Luna Lake might just be the tick for you.

Area is really nice. There are a camp sites but they are a walk to the lake. There are established bathrooms and hiking trails. The lake has a protected wetlands area to the west but there is fishing most of the lake. There's a bait shop where you can rent boats to either paddle around or fish out of. The shop's hours vary. Lots of wildlife around the area. I saw elk, different types of birds and crawdads the brief time I was there.

Absolutely love Luna Lake. While not that big of a lake, the walking around here is nice and peaceful. Hiking behind the lake there are two trails that take you through the forested area, often are quite, see many types of small animals and freshly made tracks in the mud puddles. One of my favorite places to just get away and go for a walk.

Hiking, Biking, Fishing, Birding, Camping. It's easy to spend a day here, relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. If you're passing through on a long drive, take a break and stretch your legs.

For me, I most enjoy walking around watching and photographing the variety of plants and wildlife that call Luna lake its home.

Gorgeous scenic lake in the picturesque Alpine area. Stocked regulary with trout in the summer and has a good camp ground. Never too busy.
