Banks and bank branches have different feels, ambiances and personalities.
I love Mechanics Bank for it's feel of peace and calm. I bank for various reasons at Mechanics and am ALWAYS accommodated each time with friendly, welcoming professionals!
I don't recall having to wait in loooooooong lines with just two tellers servicing. Now that's what l call tention free service. It's the bank of peace.
I love Mechanics Bank.

The people who work here are rude and lazy. they never open on time, somehow they always manage to close on time. They refuse to cash checks written from their bank to their bank without verbal consent from the writer, even when you have an account in good standing for over 20 years. Very unprofessional. Go to a different branch.

No work ethics nor customer service is needed to become a bank teller. I was in line with my daughter to deposit some coin rolls. The teller was slouching on his chair looks at me, stands up like he’s force to do so, nods his head and signals me to come here with his index finger. All of that just to hear about the coin rolls are short and wrapped incorrectly with the wrong wrapper. At least put effort in providing customers with other alternatives, What a joke. Whoever is in charge, educate Christopher about customer service and let your employees eat sour candies while at work. The facial expressions don’t help in this case.

I usually use the Mechanics Bank in Berkeley because its more open and they don't have bullet proof windows. The customer service just really got to me this time. I closed my account and won't be using this bank any longer.
