*DIDNT HONOR QUOTED Cleaning charge* Cant be trusted...

At the start of renting a property out in San Diego the experience with this company seemed good in relation to certain areas, maintenance resolution, and email follow up. But started noticing issues regarding notification about things within the community which was addressed after the 1st month of reporting and it got better. But the biggest issue we had was dealing with closing out of the unit and security deposit, the standard of the home when we moved in wasn't the best, and we had to do alot of cleaning and documenting of damages well in advance. Prior to moving out we reminded the company of the long list of items, that was provided for them to review. The company also quoted us to have carpet cleaning done for one bedroom for 45 dollars. Well upon moving out, and relocating we received and email from one of the representatives informing us her mistake but the carpet guy basically charged her for gas and tolls and it was 125 vice 45 dollars. So when we addressed this issue and how that isnt what we were quoted all the representative did was downplay the fact that we went with her quote because that is what she stated, vice other companies and she commented we wouldnt have been able to receive a less of a quote which was in fact not accurate due to other quotes received. At the end of the day the company didnt honor what they quoted us for work and due to being deployed i felt it was less stressful to engage any further, especially due to the lack of professionalism and courtesy that they messed up on there end without honoring what they quoted us knowing we "myself and fiance were relocating out the area and i was deploying. Wouldn't recommend this company based on this interaction especially because of how they handled the experience with being very good tenants truly could have been addressed in a much better manner. From company to cleaner "You quoted me $45 for one bedroom… why is this $125 "

"I’m sorry. That’s the minimum charge. My invoice from the last time I did it was $100 from awhile back. Just to get there, there are toll roads and the gas alone is costly. I think I forgot to state the minimum charge when we talked. I apologize. " Cleaner response. Once prompted that wasnt the original quote or deal.

Property management response " Sorry for the misunderstanding. The charge will be $125. You likely couldn't get a truck mount for closet and bedroom for much less than that.

Please send me your mailing address one more time.. I know I have it here somewhere. "

You always hear the horror stories of horrible management companies. This is not one of those. If all companies could be like this one it would be a wonderful place. It's really the people that work there. Sandy and May are amazing. So nice and caring. If there is a maintenance issue, they are right on top of it. I don't have 1 complaint about them. They go above and beyond what I have ever experienced in a property management company.

Fair warning if you are trying to rent somewhere that uses this company. The woman in charge of application approvals has no clue how to read credit. I was denied due to, and I quote, "Every account being at or near its limit".

Mind you, I spent the last 10 years pulling and submitting credit to lenders myself, so when I got the copy of my credit she was referring to, I noticed there was no section on the report that showed account limits, just the maximum balance that was ever held on said accounts and what the current balance was.

I proceeded to try to explain to her that "Highest balance held" and "Account Limit" werent the same thing, which she then argued with me about, while telling me that my card with a 20k limit and 3k balance was maxed out.

I called and tried to find someone else to speak to, in hopes I'd run across someone that was more proficient at reading credit reports, and while I did get a hold of her boss, I experienced the exact same issue with her, insisting they knew what they were doing as they both used to be lenders themselves. I can see why they aren't any longer.

I can't tell if this is intentional in order to collect application fees or if it is really is just asinine levels of professional gross negligence. Being denied due to legitimate credit requirements or lack of income or rental history is one thing, but having time and money wasted just to be denied due to someone's inability to do their job properly, is pretty irritating, especially as someone that has multiple satisfied auto loans, credit cards, personal loans, and a mortgage, all with flawless payment history.

Hopefully whoever runs the company pays for some better training for their company's(and renters) sake, because my entire experience with them was depressingly amateur.
