Don’t waste your time. I rarely write reviews but if I can save one person from having the experience I had, I had to try. I had been suffering with a terrible rash with the most intense itching I’ve ever had. I finally went to a dermatologist, Dr. Ned Gross. Before the appt I was looking forward to getting relief but I left the appt crying. He did a test for a parasitic condition that didn’t show any evidence I had it. As he explained how you can catch it and I told him none of those conditions applied to me, he still prescribed a medication for it. I asked about side effects and he went on about how it can affect the elderly….i’m 50 (I don’t consider that elderly,) I should’ve known when I drove up to the office that it seemed sketchy and somewhat dilapidated inside. Also, part of the intake paperwork included a form to sign stating that if you file a malpractice suit against him, you have to have a certified doctor as an expert consultant. I’ve never heard of this and I should’ve turned around and ran.

Dr Gross has been my dermatologist for 10 years or more- while he’s not a man of many words- his actions proves he cares. I needed a specific medication and my insurance wouldn’t approve it initially- he went through all the channels and never gave up until I got what I needed- because he has the medical degree and knowledge not the insurance company. So many physicians don’t have time or will do what’s easiest but he was relentless and we need more practitioners to advocate for us. He will forever be top notch in my eyes!

NOT RECOMMENDED!! Office is very difficult to locate. I drove around at least 45 minutes looking for the place. Had to call the office twice to get directions. Dr. Gross was in the room with me for approximately 10 minutes as a first-time patient who drove 4 HOURS to see him!! Yes, I drove 4 HOURS!! I wasn't prescribed any of the medication that I currently take that works for my skin at all---instead I was given a COUPON for tinted sunscreen that can be bought over the counter!! I would have drove to Danville to see my old dermatologist but she no longer accepts my insurance. Now I will have to locate a new dermatologist because Dr. Gross was a complete waste of my time and money.

Here's a warning for Medicade patients! Dr Gross is not here to help you. I'm a female veteran that doesn't get to see a dermatologist through the VA so I got United Health Care (medicaid) and got an appointment with Dr Gross to check out my skin that's going through aging changes and to check for skin cancer. Big mistake! He gave me a whopping 5 minutes of his time. My only conclusion is that my insurance won't make him any money but if I wanted to pay him $100 he'd remove up to 15 skin tags. How generous of him since I'm on medicaid. He also didn't mind letting me know that was a good deal. I wasn't looking for handouts I just had questions about my skin issues he couldn't be bothered with. 1 more thing, be prepared to get completely undressed for his full body scan. I didn't feel comfortable getting completely naked and he seemed perturbed and rushed thru the appointment. Like I said, I got 5 minutes of his time. Don't waste your time with someone who doesn't care about you or your concerns!

My experience was v poor. I wanted to figure out what was on my hip. He proceeded to act like my concern was not valid I asked him what it was he told me when he was halfway out the door & didn't even bother to explain what it was. I had to ask him if it would go away, if it was cancerous etc, questions I should not have to ask he should have been out right with it. I asked if he thought I need a biopsy he left it up to me w/ the v vauge information he gave me to make the decision. He said it will leave a scar I decided not to get it b/c it was not causing me any pain & it was eventually going to go away, but I found that out after his nurse gave me a piece of scrap paper w/ the word 'morphea' on it & I looked it up myself. Hands down not a positive experience.

Terrible experience. Procedures need recovery time but because Dr. Gross must have Friday off I must work the day after chemical peel while literally in shock. Appointments are never kept by Dr. Gross because staff makes appointments on his surgery day. Maybe in today’s world the patient should remember the office schedule for the staff. Go some where else!

100% recommend. Fastest and best dermatologist I have been to and I’ve seen multiple other ones. He and his staff work with you and are nice and efficient. My mom and I have been going for years and have literally no complaints. Again I would completely recommend.

The staff was really nice...to bad I can't say that about the doctor..he was only concerned with what he wanted and not what helped me ...everybody is different that's why there are different treatments
