I've had a good experience with Nexus. Raina is always responsive to my maintenance requests and inquiries, and she does a great job keeping things on track when third party vendors are involved. She consistently follows up and makes sure the work is moving forward. I really appreciate that my maintenance concerns are heard and addressed.

Do not use Nexus as a property management service company.

Nexus Smart Communities is a very unprofessional, unpolished team of poor leadership and value.

They act on impulse when confronted with actions regarding property or personal matters and neighbor disputes in which they avoid responsibility and claim are directed at the improper party. A professional property management company does not act hastily, but instead, first obtains all the pertinent facts and consults with the legal team for proper action and direction.

I was shocked to read the claim that Nexus believes they are committed to maintaining high standards, ensuring every homeowner feels supported. Our association’s experience with Nexus is the complete opposite.

Nexus declares they are well-organized, address issues promptly, with positive community impact. Their representatives go on to assert a commitment to excellent communication, collaboration, with outstanding results for clients. They continue to declare responsiveness, transparency, proactive approach, commitment to excellence and community care.

These are all false claims just to get your business. Nexus is not customer-centric.

Jonathan, business owner, stated, “As a management company, we take direction from the entire board, not individual homeowners, and certainly not based on personal conflicts between neighbors.”

But, they execute efforts in the exact opposite manner contradicting their claim to “ensuring every homeowner feels supported.”

Even when strictly and solely focusing on property management concerns, they still do not provide an effective or professional service. Nexus manages with inexperience and incompetence.

Multiple calls, countless complaints regarding even board members violating CC&R Rules go unanswered. This company takes direction from these types of board members.

Jonathan stated in a reply, “On multiple occasions, both my team and I have answered your calls…”

The “only” time Jonathan called was after a one star review.

His cloud-based approach to business keeps him out of touch with his valued customers.

Jonathan and his entire team is focused on their online image not their work performance. Any so-called public attacks on this company will always be the just result after unprofessional and impulsive acts by Nexus Smart Communities. Customers have every right to share their experiences after dealing with unprofessional behavior.

Fortunately, with social media, the customers will always have the opportunity to share their experiences, create awareness, and hold those in the service sector to a higher standard.

I have seen many negative reviews about HOA property management companies but in my community I have Nexus smart Communities. I have to call out Raina Salinas. I moved into the community exactly a year ago and had lots of questions that I needed answers to and I needed lots of help. I have to tell you, Raina was there every step of the way. I was able to get extremely efficient and timely service from her and she was always kind considerate and she always got it done. Thank you so much for such a great experience!

I've been really impressed with Nexus Communities in the short time they've been managing our property. The level of communication and responsiveness to issues has been outstanding. After dealing with a previous property management company that was a disaster and left a lot of things unresolved, it's been refreshing to see Nexus Communities step in and make real progress. Speaking as a homeowners and a board member, within one week of Nexus starting, they were able to get more done for our community than our previous property management company could get done in months! Switching over to Nexus has been a breath of fresh air. Jonathan and Leah and both very professional and have been handing all our requests and needs in a timely manner with great communication. Our previous property management (Lordon) was stuck in their old ways. Everything was done (if done at all) extremely slowly. We also had issues with vendors coming out to do work, but the work wasn’t always done correctly. My favorite thing about Nexus is they require proof from vendors to verify the job is done properly. Nexus has an app all homeowners can use to submit work orders, with Lordon, you’d be lucky to even have them answer the phone. I love how Nexus doesn’t rely on a person dependent process, but has multiple teams to handle requests/issues. With Lordon, our property manager was essentially responsible for everything, which is overwhelming and difficult for one person to succeed. Nexus is definitely leading the way for how property managements should be and using technology to their (and homeowners) advantage. Thank you, Nexus!!!

Raina has been great to work with and is super responsive! I sent her an email on a Friday afternoon and she had the city come out Monday morning to resolve the issue! I was extremely impressed and looked forward to continuing working with her.
