They are super quick to respond, they have an online tenant portal that loops in property management, resident & any maintenance companies for all service requests. They do everything they can to make sure their tenants needs are met in a timely & efficient manner. A warning for potential applicants. PMI requires applicants to allow a third party "Pay Score", formerly "The Closing Docs", access to your bank account to "verify income". You have to log in to your bank account through Pay Score's application, and Navy Federal views them as a "linked third party". Pay Score states that they view the last 365 days of your accounts' transactions to "verify your income". They also state that they do not sell or keep your information(I did have to unlink them from my account, so please make sure you do). However, you are essentially trusting an unknown entity, that has existed for < 5 years, with unmitigated access to your bank account information and transaction history. This is a massive security risk, as because you voluntarily give them access, your bank's fraud protection is likely not in effect. My money is on that they are selling the information they gather, at minimum. This is not disclosed either on PMI's website, or in the rental application. Even after providing them 8 WEEKS (their emphasis) of pay stubs, I woke up to a text message telling me I must use Pay Score. I would not have agreed if my roommate and I hadn't already paid $120 of non-refundable (of course) application fees. PMI, you should have to disclose that this is a requirement, prior to accepting application fees. Also, I would like to ask if you would allow an unknown entity unfettered access to bank account and transaction history to rent some run-down townhouse, or is that only for us poors?
