My husband, Gary and I have been renting from Pointe West Management for nearly two years and we’ve been so pleased with our experience. We worked with Lindsey when we first found a PW property we loved and she was awesome! I sent plenty of emails before and right after we moved in and she was always responsive and helpful. The maintenance gentleman, Sam is the nicest, most knowledgeable guy ever. We love the community we live in, it’s well maintained and cared for. I see Pointe West vans driving around the neighborhood often. Thanks for all you do. We’re big fans over here!

It’s been a challenge getting Pointe West to take care of several issues since shortly after our lease started. Poor communication and seemingly ignored attempts at reaching them has been a frustrating experience. They’re certainly diligent about scheduling tours of our unit, however. Pictured is water leaking from the ceiling, a problem that hasn’t been resolved.

AWFUL PERIOD! Extremely authoritarian and forceful when collecting money(justified or otherwise) and relentlessly removes more and more tenant rights from the lease contract while adding more rules/reasons for charging more fees to the point of being a paid prisoner, every year! Expect to pay THEM to renew your lease, and EXPECT that they will harass and threaten you to renew your lease 10 months before your lease will end. Any amenities that are included in your rent like wi-fi, laundry or appliances are the bare minimum and to be operational half the time. DO expect to take TIME out of your life to REPEAT requests for a work order/ticket, via EMAIL, PHONE, VOICEMAIL, IN-PERSON, as they will ignore you, despite the contract stating they must respond by 2 weeks, for any maintenance issues. Likewise, EXPECT to be IGNORED and IGNORED as they hope you will simply drop off the map and GIVE UP. EXPECT, severely low water volume/pressure, ex. 0.75 gallons per minute, so expect to take 30-40 minutes to conduct a basic shower(equivalent to10 minutes for a normal water volume output). EXPECT, for them to ignore the complaint of low water issues and them to GASLIGHT you and unexpected repeated last minute, "OH, we need to come in to check every building for water usage, you don't need to be home-they come and go and if they were your roommate, NO NOTE and HARDLY any NOTICE! EXPECT, that when they do do maintenance that they leave you a pile of trash and WILL need to clean up the rubbish in their wake. EXPECT that they use your toilet. Ask me how I know, because they LEAVE biological remnants behind! Additionally, if you have any plumbing problems minor or major, EXPECT that you will BE CHARGED HEAVILY and GASLIGHTED if you inquire about the astronomical fee --EXPECT no work order, NO note, and for the charge to MYSTERIOUSLY appear on your online resident portal and harassment from them to PAY IMMEDIATELY. Interestingly suspicious is that for every maintenance except for the change of A/C heater/air filter cartilage, they will NEVER provide a range of time or coordinate with you so that I can be home while the maintenance arrives! EXPECT them to have a worker who's job is to pry for things listed on your lease contract that paves the legal argument to fine you, for example demand that you not have any decorations in your entry way, including on your door. MIND you, I pay one of the highest rents (similar to a mortgage) in the town!

**ADVISORY**--Pointe West Management responds to my review in less than <24hours! When I piled on and stacked voicemails, emails, live conversations, and in person visits to every number and representative for basic things, I get LIP Service, empty promises and or the WALL. However, a google review gets me more "Bait and Switch" routine phony and fakery. Consider this a fair warning to all of you.

We live here now at Stonegate. We have had roaches since August. We notified within 3 days, and the request was cancelled. After submitting two more requests, I went in to the office to speak to someone in person in FEBRUARY with photographs and one of the roaches I had caught and killed. He said it had been sprayed recently, but that he would send an exterminator later that day. Exterminator told me they hadn't been there in months. We also have earwigs, carpet beetles, and ants. We are attempting (and failing) to control with two brands of roach traps, ant traps, and daily vacuuming.

When we moved in, an employee gave us a "bedroom" key with our house keys. Our mailbox, they said, we didn't have access to yet, as they had just acquired the property, and it was in the old company's office. We learned quick that they had actually provided us the mailbox key, as our bedroom doors do not actually lock. The dishwasher had standing water and mold in it upon move in, and the kitchen had two bags of trash we had to remove. A closet door was literally painted shut prior to our move in, and there is a dip in the floor between the water heater and the bathtub.

All of these items were described in various maintenance requests as well as the fact that our oven broke and the ceiling was bowing above our shower. The maintenance request regarding the shower ceiling was placed in October. In November, when our ceiling caved in, we called. Finally, someone came, and they fixed a pipe above our shower. However, they left the hole in the ceiling until February, when I went into the office. Maintenance arrived later that day to seal the hole. They told me they would have to come back twice more to apply more coats of drywall/paint, and we scheduled a time. They never came back.

Since then, our fridge has begun to fail, pingponging between being too warm and freezing everything. There is currently ice on the bottom shelf, and the internet (which we pay them to provide as a part of the utility fee) has been out for three days.

After all of this, they were shocked to learn we were not resigning when they RAISED the rent. Complete joke of a management company.

Staff sets up house tours quickly, theyre easy to work with for leasing . Maintenance requests are usually always followed up on fast, especially for important maintenance (leaks, temperature sensor issues, etc)

Stay far away from this company. In our time renting from Pointe West, we had the following issues.
1) When our previous rental company was bought out, Pointe West agreed that our leases were individual and would be honored. Our roommate moved out early and stopped paying rent. We told Pointe West about this issue well in advance and they assured us that nothing would happen to us. The next time rent was due, we were threatened with eviction. We attempted to contact the company multiple times only for them to ignore us. It took us walking into their office threatening a lawsuit for them to honor our agreement. We were not given an apology.
2) One summer, Pointe West changed how they handled insurance. The new portal would not recognize our insurance as valid, so we talked with an employee and gave them a copy of our insurance, and that employee said they would take care of it. Months later, we were still getting charged a fee for not having insurance, so we contacted the company. They said that person no longer worked for them and we would have to pay the fees. We once again had to walk into their office with a copy of our insurance, the emails saying their employee would take care of it, and the threat of filing a lawsuit against Pointe West for them to refund the fees and accept our insurance. We were not given an apology.
3) One of our roommates paid via check for a while. One month, they got charged a late fee even though they had sent their check in well in advance. Upon further investigation (after much prodding), his rent check was sitting in a stack of unprocessed mail and had actually come in days before rent was due. We were not given an apology.
There are many reasons on top of these that would help show the lack of care and incompetence of this team, but there's not enough space here. Stay as far away from this company as you possibly can.

Do not book with pointe west! They take forever to respond to maintenance request and will sometimes ignore them. Book them if you want your sleep schedule disturbed as they have 5 extremely bright lights per floor which they refuse to do anything about even though their other property across the street has much milder lights. This is a bigger problem for me as I have a dog but it shows their complete lack of true empathy. UPDATE: their response is just for show as I have contacted them twice about the lights and they said they could do nothing not even reduce the amount.

I wonder if point west gets a percentage of the cars they tow. We rent from them and should be given a permit/pass to park when everything else is signed and they ask if you need a parking pass. If the tenant needs one, one should be mailed to them if not given earlier. Extra cost for nothing but greed. “Policy” needs to be changed. These kids have enough on their plate to be worried about walking out of their apartment and their car is gone. Ridiculous

Go up
