Really enjoyed staying here, not far from Mountain Home, walking distance to the river. This place was really clean, well remodeled and easily accessible. Our room was super spacious and comfortable, big bathroom, beds were a little too firm, but other than that our stay was pleasant.

We had an amazing experience ! We received the best customer service since the very beginning till the very last minute . We celebrated my daughter’s first birthday and we had a wonderful time . The church is absolutely beautiful and all the rooms were stunning and extremely clean . Everyone in the party complimented the venue . It’s is just STUNNING!
I managed properties for over 10 years and this property was beyond my expectation! For sure the best one in the area . If you are looking for a venue or for a vacation getaway this is definitely the way to go ! Im5 starts for sure !!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Clean, quiet, quaint and excellent value for money!
Jason and Kammi have done a wonderful job renovating this historic building and making it a welcoming and comfortable place to stay. As a lone female traveler, I felt completely safe.
I would definitely stay here again when visiting my parents in Mountain Home.
Don't let the idea of shared bathrooms deter you from staying at the Commercial Hotel! I think I was the only one using the front upstairs bathroom which was almost outside my room (202). Everything is well thought out and appointed. Highly recommend.

Every detail here was so thorough and thought out. We were not Harry Potter fans but staying here sure peeked our interest as the design and decor was intriguing. The stay was also great, we had everything we needed, no issues at all!! Comfortable living space and nice cozy bed!!! We were visiting friends, this place was so nice it was hard for us to leave and go exploring!! We definitely will be back!!

If you love country charm and hospitality then this is the place for you! First the building, it will make you want to buy a building that is over 100 years old just so you can enjoy its rich history and character. The owners, Kammi and Jason have put a labor of love into making you feel right at home with the restoration of the Commercial Hotel. If your desire is to enjoy your vacation without the hustle of the city then fly or drive into Cotter Arkansas and make yourself right at home.

Lovely place, I absolutely adored the cats and the theme!

BAD:
• Fan remote didn't work. The remote's batteries were working.. the fans just didn't move.
• Mini-Candles and main candles were dead.
• No scissors available, had to leave some!
• The pull-out bed had a very noticeable bar when sleeping on it.
• The LED displays on the oven and microwave were blinding at night. (The beacons are lit, Gondor calls for aid!)
• Wished there was a dresser or at least more than three hangers.
• Borrowed portable curtains because there was no way to cover the two windows.
• The main window's shades did not block light whatsoever.
• Wished the outside light would stay on, the motion detection would make it flick on and off for nothing and then miss large objects.

GOOD:
• Clean, cool, safe, we slept soundly even through the daily tornado siren.
• Everything was clearly labeled.
• The aesthetic is quite nice, lovely paint color and furnishings; there was even chess!
• Wifi was fast, reliable, and safe.
• TCL TV had Roku, cable, and DVD player.
• Main mattress is thick and insulates heat well.
• Fridge was clean, spacious, and quiet.
• There were many outlets available, as well as smoke detectors, etc.
• There's a splash guard for the microwave that also helps evenly heat the food.
• All the HP books and movies were there.
• There's a dishwasher!!
• The backyard was fenced in, with a grill and its own deck.
• Located within walking distance of the post office, laundromats, restaurants, an art gallery, warrior park, and a community park!
• The community cats were so loving. They are healthy, fixed, and come out for belly rubs at night.
• If you're lucky, you might see a deer and her babies wandering outside!

We had such a great, last minute, trip to Cotter! The Potter Block group was amazingly welcoming and accommodating of our impromptu plans. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Everything was pristine and in excellent repair. I would highly recommend any of their properties for your vacation! Thanks again! P.S. I had so much fun trying to take a similar picture to the historical ones found on the wall of the Commercial Hotel!

My wife, 13 year old son, and I were on a spontaneous road trip and found our way to Cotter, Arkansas. My wife located the Commercial Hotel online just prior to arrival and reached out to book a room. The individual answering the phone was extremely accomodating and located us a room quickly.

The property itself is absolutely charming. It blended historic elegance with modern comfort. Our room (#103) was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. The common areas were equally inviting and comfortable. We really just felt right at home on the property. It was obvious that thoughtful attention was given to even the little things.

The town of Cotter is very picturesque and charming as well. There was a quiet calm that offered a nice getaway from the hustle of life.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Thanks for a very memorable experience. We will most certainly be back!
