Second updated review
Ravensworth Apartments has both positives and significant drawbacks that potential renters should consider before making a decision.
Pros
One of the standout features of Ravensworth Apartments is the relatively spacious master bedroom, providing comfort and enough room for furniture. However, this spaciousness does not extend to other areas like the living room, which may feel a bit cramped. Another positive aspect is the availability of paid parking spots, which ensures that residents don’t have to struggle to find parking.
Cons
Unfortunately, the downsides outweigh the benefits. One of the most concerning issues is the unreasonably high and fluctuating utility costs, which can range from $400-$450 for a two-bedroom apartment. There is strong evidence suggesting that these charges may be manually manipulated, making budgeting unpredictable and frustrating for tenants.
Additionally, the building itself is old, leading to frequent issues with fixtures. Windows do not open properly, kitchen cabinet doors fail to close, and various other maintenance problems arise regularly. Even more alarming is the persistent mouse infestation, which seems to affect every unit, creating serious hygiene concerns.
Security is another major issue. Vandalism is common in the parking area, with multiple incidents reported. When residents seek assistance, they are often told that the surveillance cameras are not working. In one recent case, three cars were vandalized in a single night, yet no proper action was taken.
Finally, the leasing office staff, particularly the manager, has been noted for showing preferential treatment. While online reviews often praise the manager, many residents suspect that a number of these positive reviews come from non-residents, casting doubt on their authenticity.
Conclusion
While Ravensworth Apartments does offer some benefits like a spacious master bedroom and sufficient parking, the high utility costs, poor maintenance, rodent issues, and security concerns make it a challenging place to live. Management’s lack of transparency and fairness further adds to the frustration. If you are considering this apartment, it is essential to weigh these factors carefully before committing.

First post
This is my first apartment review ever and I will try to be fare as much as possible . I am doing it because if I had this information, I wouldn’t move to this apartment in the first place and I want to help someone before they make a terrible mistake.
I just moved 5 months ago after seeing a review online. Let me give you the highlights of my experience as well as my observation.
Pros
1- The apartment is relatively quite which means you don’t see a lot of people wondering around or
any parking vandalism at the parking lot at least until now.
2-The bed room is slightly spacious.
3-The area is accessible to shops as well as I-495 highway.
Cons
1- It’s old building which is maintained badly and most of the windows or apartment fixtures doesn’t work properly . It needs a lot of effort to open the windows and balcony door. Everything breaks down now and then from the bathroom to the kitchen stuffs.
2-Since we moved in the apartment they shutdown the water for 15days in different dates from 9AM-4:30 PM
3-Utility bill is highly suspicious . They are charging me on average $490 for 2 bed room apartment for occupants of 2 people , I and my wife only . They hired a third party company to prepare the bills and it’s plausible that they cooked the numbers .
4-Maintenance people are nice but not knowledgeable or reluctant as result all works are substandard by any measurement.
5- Paper thin walls and old widows , you can hear the entire noise from outside and your next door neighbors.
By the way I have seen a lot of 5 star reviews and I suspect some
of these people are not or were not residents of this apartment rather this is a work of advertisement companies paid false reviews .
