I was referred to Scott Kim with Black Gold Insurance by my realtor when I was in the market for homeowner's insurance. As with all new brokers I get referred to, I was a little hesitant about whether or not this person I didn't know would be honest, helpful, or try to rip me off.

I was blown away and very pleasantly surprised within my first interaction with Scott. He is so honest, genuine and transparent that it makes the whole process super smooth and fun. He's also extremely responsive (like, within minutes) and even responds during off-hours. Since I was new to needing homeowner's insurance, I must've asked him 100+ questions and he answered each one patiently and thoroughly without any sign of annoyance! I also really appreciated his proactiveness in offering explanations whenever he would tell me a new concept. He would explain the concept and then say "For you, this means that...," which was extremely helpful. Scott never tried to upsell me on anything and even had a conversation with me about whether or not I really needed the additional items I was leaning toward purchasing. I loved that.
