They deserve less than 1 star. I do not have photos or videos like I usually would only due to never visiting this place but having several phones call conversations with them. I will be as honest and transparent as possible. If you do not believe my review, then read the negative reviews because everyone cannot be dishonest.

There is only 2 people you can communicate with (Michael and Jason) and they are the worst you can deal with. I am currently dealing with a tenant in one of their properties and due to my numerous complaints, they have done absolutely nothing to handle the situation where it is comfortable and reasonable for the both of us. To explain, I have a neighbor above me who creates excessive noise (which I have documented on several occasions). The noise is done intentionally due to lack of insulation and his intent to ensure I am disturbed and never have peace. The rental staff does not hold him accountable to the lease agreement because if I am not mistaken, he is on Section 8 (they would rather keep that money coming over a tenant paying market rent). They will definitely allow Voucher holders to get away with anything because they don't want to lose out on funds from the government. From the first time complaining on him, he has harassed me nonstop till present day April 17, 2025. From the time reporting the tenanting and me banging the ceiling, per John Mileskey words, "they can do whatever they want but you cannot bang back, or you will be violating your lease." I sent several emails with audio and more and they would even with proof state they could never hear anything-lie! The tenant continued with their harassment. This (37-year male) would continue to behave in such an ignorant way because he knows his noise is loud and very disturbing. I have videos, and audio as proof. Their property management company (Oakcrest Towers) ignored my concerns because they stated when they came into the apartment if they cannot hear it then it never ever happens. I had someone stay in the unit to listen to the noise and was able to hear just what I stated happened and they denied the fact that they ever heard it. That person was Gail Martin. The fact that she lied was disgusting when I have several devices that was recording when it occurred. Michael and Jason are absolutely rude and nasty. They stated if we offered you solutions then so be it but talking to anyone above us is out of the question. I will do everything I can to contact someone above them and report their service.

If you choose to rent at any of their properties and have neighbors like I have then please know that Scott Management will do nothing to ensure that the property managers are not making anything comfortable or peaceful for anyone except the person who makes the noise. Whatever communication you have with the corporate office and the property management company ensure you document everything, record everything and have your proof of their will continue with their facetious lies. Proof is your key. The only solutions they offer are moving to another unit and sometimes that does nothing but allows the person who is creating the noise to continue being a nuisance.

These companies only care for a check and that's it. Concerns you have will be ignored and they will totally prove to you that they will do nothing to assist you in any way that's reasonable. The solutions they provide will be one sided and that's all. Just prepare yourself and know that their companies underneath have reviews that all cannot be false, the lowest score reviews are usually the most honest and provide you with proof of what some people are experiencing. Keep track of all your correspondence between the office and Michael and Jason. They will do nothing but give you a spiel of we will look into it and call you back and never do. If you rent an apartment at Oakcrest Towers just know some tenants have no consideration for others. Just an fyi.

They represent DC properties that are not to code. I got locked in do to fault lock. The fire Dept had to get me out. The hinges are inside the drywall so the door could not be removed. There was no space between the door knob and the wall. They might not be the slum lord but they definitely represent them.

Management should not be in this company's name. As stated 100% accurately by another reviewer, "if I could rate them 0 stars, I would".
You will receive poor customer service, zero accountability, and the chances of them following up regarding your concerns with property that they "manage" are slim to none.

With rising prices and declining service, I implore you to consider spending your hard-earned money elsewhere. It is clear that they are accustomed to low income tenants that may not have other housing options readily available, that may be afraid to rock the boat, and will treat every tenant as such. The two times I have had to contact them regarding their Meadow Woods Apartment property (please see my review of Meadow Woods if you are considering leasing) I was met with arrogance, ignorance, and no desire to remedy the issue at hand.

Do yourself a favor and look past any property that this company manages. It will save you money, and at the very least, hassle and disappointment.

If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would! This management company is so careless, and do not care if you call to complain about one of their properties! I will never rent from them EVER AGAIN! I I called these people over 2 months ago about an issue that I was having a one of their properties which is Addison Chapel and I was told I would receive a call from the regional manager, never happened! So fast forward to today I called them to see why I never received a call and the guy on the phone which he told me his name was REYES was very absurd, ruddeserve that job. I explained to him what was going on and he did nothing at all to help me. So I asked him if he would stay at an apartment with two young children under two with a mice infestation and this man told me that it was IRRELEVANT HE NEEDS TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY. They don’t even do right so how do I expect their property to do their job? I’ve seen up to 5 mice at once coming from various areas of our apartment!!! In fact it’s so infested that I even saw them in the day time… we decided to go ahead and move out and have our lease broke but are just now hearing back from the property manager and they’re trying to say we still owe the rent so I guess we will settle this in court! We moved out back in September which was the last month we paid for. No one and I mean absolutely no one should still have to pay to live under these conditions and the leasing office do nothing to fix it. I repeat DO NOT RENT FROM THESE FRAUDS!!!!!!!! Unless you enjoy living with mice because it is infested and they do nothing to help you, mice carry diseases In their feces and urine too and it’s unsafe to have a newborn and a 1 year old live like that.
I have added photos of the condition
they want you to live in because they’re all about money and not safety and health. The mice were even in our food, counter tops, bedrooms, kitchen, living room, and even on my daughters bed just disgusting

With communities like Meadow Woods apartments, I don't know how anyone trusts Scott Management to take care of your community. Scott Management is getting 1 Star (0 stars if I could) because of Meadow Woods. Although we have lived there since 2014, it is not due to anything other than the location of the neighborhood - it was decently priced and close to both our jobs. So you're talking 9 years of history here if you want a real resident account. However, I have gotten a new property in Fairfax to manage and we cannot wait to move out of here! As someone who is also a property manager, I am disgraced to call the likes of this company peers! Tijuana Williams was the most recently manager of this property, and she was no help at all. Nor were the others before her, I just cannot remember their names. I heard she was promoted and I am flabbergasted as to how that was possible when literally NOTHING improved around the neighborhood when she was present. She hardly ever responded to emails and barely available in person. I never saw her walking/riding around the property.

From day one, Meadow Woods has been a displeasure. They tried to give us the wrong apt when we were moving in and we had to wait an extra 2 weeks for someone else to move out and for them to clean up the unit. Of course barely any time so the unit was not in tip-top shape. It still wasn't an exact match to what we signed the lease for. There was supposed to be a coat closet by the door - there isn't. But we needed an apartment right away so we took it. Our thermostat pooped out within the first yr. Our dishwasher never worked well so we don't use it. Loiterers, rise in crime, murders around the neighborhood and no security for all these years until I saw one driving through a week or so ago (it's about damn time!). We still have the same carpet, I sent an email about the carpet, the tub coming apart, almost 2 years ago, do you think anything was done? Now, we have mice getting into our place because of holes in the corners. We saw a mouse in early July, reported it, it's been a month and a half and guess what Meadow Woods has done? NOTHING. They're lucky if we don't sue for negligence, pain & suffering, personal belongings lost as we well as call the health department for violations. These mouse have violated every inch of our unit and we've had to throw away so many items contaminated with feces and urine! The mouse is now a mother and had babies right up in our closet. Pest control says maintenance has to patch the holes, that was a few days ago, do you think maintenance has been by yet? NOPE. The next day, the mice had already left the nest, now we have to find them AGAIN! All bc this neighborhood has no sense of urgency. More reflection on SCOTT MANAGEMENT.

I complained for 3 yrs about the lines in the parking lot not being visible. Residents double parked everywhere, forcing me to fall in line when there were limited spaces. Well, doing that caused me to get towed. I had to essentially fuss about this and then towing was suspended until they could restripe. Well, finally in July, they restriped the lines. Just one example of how slow they work. Rent goes up every friggin year, you would think it would show up in the aesthetic of the neighborhood somewhere. NOPE.

The Maintenance guys are nice but what the hell is the point of an emergency hotline that no one responds to? We found a mouse nest and got no response to our emergency call. One of the guys sits on our street daily for hours in his car smoking and on the phone. There's too much to do around this raggedy neighborhood! GO block all those exposed porches where rats and mice are using to penetrate our units!

One positive I will give, Dreama. The front office attendant. Bless her heart. I'm not sure why she's never been the manager, perhaps she cares too much? Not sure, but there is a way to care and manage at the same time, I do it everyday with my community and residents!!

I could go on for days! Do not live in a community managed by this company!

Meadow Woods Apartment- if i could give one star i would. they barely fix anything. i had a leak and they took forever to fix it and i had a hole in my celing for several weeks. i cant even get a visitors pass for free. they charge $8 per day for a visitors pass and you cant even get one during the weekends. my fire alarm goes off with a carbon monoxide warning if i use my oven for 2 hours or more and they keep claiming its nothing wrong with that and that its normal. i have mold in my bathroom and they wont test for it or do anything about it. it was a homeless man living under the stairs in my building when i first moved in, i wrote about it on the news letter for the apartment and management deleted it. i complained in the office about it and they told me call the police, there is no apartment security. i had a mouse problem they took a month to even start doing something and i had to follow up about it all the time. i had the mouse problem for 3 months. i ended up going to the hospital cause they would not handle the issue. the apartment manager is rude, she doesn't reply to my emails and she has been in my apartment twice about the mold issue and claims its not mold and told me to use bleach.oh and the gym has been closed still. i moved in here oct. 2022. do not move to MEADOWS WOODS APARTMENT.

Unprofessional, and rude personnel. Gives you the run-a-round instead of caring about your residence all they do is want to charge you more money! Rodent infested property, no air and the building has no secure door.

In answering your reply : you do not see my name as a leaseholder at any of your communities. I do not have to be a leaseholder to give my opinion as to the way we were treated when moving my grandson from (the third time) his apartment because of your problems with rodents. Your staff should be professional to all persons calling inquiring about an apartment, or a leaseholder dealing with a problem with his or her residence.

Only lived in Takoma Landing for less than a month and I can't even dry my clothes....my dryer keeps going out and I'm paying over 1700.00 and still have to wash my clothes somewhere else and pay more money to do so. My laminate floor is already coming up....and no one from Scott Management responds. I WILL FINISH MY LEASE AND WILL NEVER RENT FROM SCOTT MANAGEMENT AGAIN.
