Sheep Dung Ranch (ignore the name, there are no sheep around) is wonderful place to get away for a quiet couple of days, especially if you have dogs. ||||Each cottage features a fully fenced in area where your dogs can run around, bark, and play to their hearts' content. Cottages feature air conditioning (much appreciated as this area is inland from the coast and can get very hot in the summer) as well as wood stoves and central heating in the winter.||||Cottages are well set up for dogs with tile (not carpeted) floors and no bugs so the doors can be left open for dogs to run in and out.||||Payment is by check and reservations have to be made by phone calls back and forth with the owners.||||The cottages are nicely, but simply, furnished. It is not the sort of place for wild parties but more for a bit of quiet time with your friends, dogs, etc.||||Definitely print out and take the map that you will be emailed, or find your cottage on What3Words.com and then save that to your phone.||||During the summer there is access to a swimming hole that water loving dogs will really enjoy.||||The nearby towns of Boonville and Philo are fun and can provide basics, but stock up with most food items at the large Safeway in Ukiah for most of your food needs.
