Scheduled a showing for a home. They texted me to confirm twice and I confirmed both times. I show up at 9am on a Monday and nobody shows up. I call their office and they can’t get a hold of the agent who was supposed to be there.

If you are a landlord who actually wants to get your home rented, these guys ain’t it. And if you’re a tenant, unless you wanna be stood up, I wouldn’t recommend them.

I rented a property managed by Shore Management from the height of the pandemic for about 4 years. My experience with them was excellent with prompt responses, reasonable rent increases, and thorough communication after my departure to ensure maximal return of deposit. The 4-5 years I rented with Shore was a crazy time for the market and I feel they balanced the interests of tenant and landlord very well. Would recommend.

Shore Management was a savior in taking full control of a run down condo in San Diego and turning major profit relieving the stress of finding and managing three different people - property manager, contractor, and real estate agent. Trying to find these different disciplines all in one was extremely difficult, but Shore made it simple and worked hard to sell the condo which sold within a week from listing. The condo was almost completely remodeled for a well thought out and economical plan to reach it's full potential. Couldn't be more happy with their work and would be my #1 recommendation for any / all of those disciplines - property manager, contractor, real estate agent.

I have lived across from a Shore Management property for 7 years. There are have so many tenants during this time - their turnover was surprising to us but maybe it shouldn't have been due to the horrible reviews of Shore Management and our bad experience with them.

The president, Justin, is forcing me to call the police on his tenants for multiple felony hit-and-runs instead of working with us and asking their tenants to contact us so they can pay for the damage they caused to our property. He told me "this situation {is} closed on our end" without giving us a path forward without calling the police.

Shore Management has had at least 3 tenants or guests reverse into our property and leave with no note or attempts to contact us - hit and runs - since they allow so many cars in the parking space that there isn't an angle for cars to turn around. Justin said this isn't a tenant issue, which I disagree with since they have allowed the parking problem, likely to collect higher rent. We have asked for them to stop turning around on our private property after our fence was damaged the first time from a hit-and-run. We left multiple notes on tenants' cars. One tenant hit our balcony with a U-Haul, got out and looked at it then never told us. I only know from my husband reviewing our Ring camera footage but I didn't act on it since my son was unexpectedly born months early and was fighting to live in the NICU. I described that former tenant and his vehicle but still got no where with Justin.

The tenants regularly leave their trash bins in the alley all week, often over filling them and spreading trash down the block. Neighbors then clean up after them.

During the start of the pandemic they still used leaf blowers at a time when Covid was thought to be transmitted easily through the air. I called them about it and they repeatedly lied to me saying they stopped using leaf blowers while I was watching their gardener use leaf blowers. They didn't even know their gardener was there! They said they were actually phasing them out - it's been 4 years and they still use dirty leaf blowers that are damaging the environment, the health of the gardener and disturbing the neighborhood.

Shore Management won't trim back the tree from the neighboring HOA that has overgrown wildly blocked our view even though it's on their property and they can. They just don't seem like they want to work with neighbors and create a positive relationship or environment.

I would stay away from renting from, hiring or living near a Shore Management property if possible!

I have been renting with Shore for 12 years now. When an owner decided to sell the unit I was in last year Shore found me a new place to rent and really helped me out in a tough rental market. They have always been fair with me and given me great support. The owner Justin is a great guy and everyone there has been great to work with. I highly Recommend contacting Shore for your rental or Management needs. Thank you shore.

Justin and team at Shore have managed my property for the past 5 years. They have been great in taking care of maintenance and letting me know about any concerns with the property. They take care of rental agreements and have had good tenants present for long periods of time. They give detailed statements each month and summary at the end of year showing all expense and income that makes reporting for taxes easy. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to rent their property.

A month ago we applied at Shore Manag (appt lease) paying a $40 fee (San Diego, CA). No response, despite my emailing to them and even calling them/leaving messages in their answering machine. UPDATE: Last week Shore Manag returned the $40. I now revise my review from 1 to 3 stars, since still they have made no effort to call us or suggest any apartment for lease...
