Definitely recommend Spirit of Alaska. Melonnie helped me figure out feasible ways to build my credit using loans. She explained my options well, was patient with my questions and I never felt intimidated or felt like I should have already known the answers to my questions. She was easily reachable through phone and email, which helped move the process along.

I highly recommend Spirit of Alaska FCU, working with Kathy, Mark, and Tony from the mortgage department has been a wonderful experience. Kathy is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to help with whatever questions and concerns I had or needed addressed at the time of making a decision on my loan, Mark is very friendly and a great communicator he keeps you in the loop what’s going on through out the whole process, and Tony is helpful and detailed as he helps you wrap up your closing process. Working with them gives you the reassurance and the trust that you have chosen the right mortgage company.

I the bank called me to see I have a fraud on my debit card in the past I was being honest said yes they were taking my debit card away and threat for me not go to the other banks cause if I do they will call the other banks above my false accusations that I pay the website that I fraud by using eBay website even though I got my stuff from eBay and didn’t have trouble with it in the past. Again they call me if I did got fraud using nebula website witch I didn’t they took my debit card and accused me that I did buy that website which I did not they are manipulating and giving an excuse cause of the stupid police. They don’t and never help out and investigate it how do someone hack to my debit card account though the original website that they never do took my debit card accounts. Instead they manipulate and threaten me in the past. That banks is not what I trust at all. Because of it. That never guide nor teach me to do the right thing.

My husband and I had been long time members, starting with the purchase of our vacation home in Fairbanks.
Numerous times we called upon Zach Dingwall to help route funds for us from/to our home Credit Union in another state and found his service to be efficient, timely and well over exceeding our expectations. We were immensely pleased to be members.
However, this year has been a challenge.
Although, Zach tried his best, the Branch Manager has not!
After days of exhausting conversations with Zach, he told us that he would ask the Branch Manager to call us and explain why they were holding a large sum of money, instead of depositing it into our accounts in a timely. The sun was a transfer from another Fairbanks local Credit Union. It should have been an easy electronic transfer.....it was not!
Added to our frustration, was the fact that the Branch Manager never saw fit to contact us, after we repeatedly asked to speak with her/him.
Zach did all he could, but no attention was given to our complaint. We were ignored! Not proper treatment for a Member.
Due to this lack of service, especially from a Branch Manager, we have closed our accounts. That was a horror story, all in itself.
In summary, we give Zach a 5 Star ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ rating for trying his best, even if his hands were tied by the Branch Manager.
However, we can not say the same for Management. A thumps down 👎 there!
So fellow Members, beware if you are transferring money. It is scary🥺
