They sourced estate and tax planning, found a tool to leverage our investments, allowing us to build our retirement home without a high interest construction loan. Not only do they help preserve the wealth we have accumulated but, help us navigate and understand the life choices that affect it. They actively manage our money rather than just parking it in a mutual fund and letting it ride out the ups and downs of today's ever changing markets. They provide easy to understand weekly updates of what's happening and how they are responding to those events using technical data and years of experience. As importantly, they always answer the phone and treat us like we are family. I have been with TIM since the beginning when Dad, John Foster ran the company. I have invested with many management firms over the years and TIM is the only one that I have remained with. The primary reason is that they have always done what they said they would do. That, and they are very good at protecting my money when the market is in decline. We established a minimum return that was needed to retire comfortably and they meet that goal.

Son, Todd now runs the company and has done an amazing job growing it into a very respectable investment firm. They are truly full service with an excellent staff that generates the synergy needed to be better than the rest.

One of my most recent examples is that I inadvertently authorized the IRS to debit my brokerage account $17000 to pay my taxes. James, called Schwab for me and the money was returned to my account within 24 hours.

Like all of us, my money is very personal to me, so having a firm that I can trust to honestly manage my money and keep me comfortable in my retirement is paramount.
Thirty years later, Total Investment Management is still that firm.
