Sometimes had to send a couple texts to get a response but she generally dealt with issues pretty quickly, especially more urgent matters. Our little apartment had a few issues, but we loved it. Also, some of the most reasonable rent prices in town

Karen was an amazing landlord. I have truly enjoyed living in her unit. She was quick to answer and respond to any issues regarding the house I lived in. She is professional, approachable, and very easy to talk to. I have had very poor landlords in the past and was grateful to be able to move in to one of her units. I know some of the neighbors did not particularly like Karen, but it just seemed like their unit was not up to their standards. (If you didn't like the space, then why sign a lease there!?) Everyone else that moved in to the same space was happy and had no complaints. Karen was also incredibly accommodating when I asked her about ending my lease earlier due to graduating. I wish more landlords in Laramie were like her.

I'm convinced she had to pay people for her good reviews. She is hard to reach over the phone, when you do get her on the phone she is very rude, and she is in no hurry to fix any issues in our apartment that most places could do in a day or two. Wouldn't recommend doing business through her. (Keeping my name private as I currently have a lease from her but will not be renewing).

I wish I could give this review zero stars. Upon moving in, our rental was DISGUSTING. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I asked Karen if she had had time to walk through the apartment since the last tenants moved out. She replied that she had, clearly a clean place to live is not a priority for their property management. A cleaning crew wiped the trim for 15 minutes and then left... We spent 12 hours that first day cleaning to make the rental livable. Karen was notified and never compensated us. From here on out, our entire lease was a nightmare. I have records of MULTIPLE emails that were sent to Karen to address issues with our rental and she never responded. Water was not our responsibility in the lease since the rental was split into three separate apartments. OUR WATER WAS TURNED OFF BY THE CITY TWICE. I emailed Karen asking how we could stop our water from being turned off and I never got an email back. I even called the city asking and they said it was the property manager's responsibility... But when told she had a number of days to send our deposit back (gave 7 weeks after moving out for a reasonable time to assess for possible damages), she replied to the email within 60 minutes. I think I can assume she got all of my other emails. As tenants we paid rent on time every time, paid our deposits in full, never received complaints from other tenants or neighbors, and left the apartment in better shape than it had probably ever been left. Once learning that we weren't going to be run over, it became harder for her to answer phone calls. If Valentine Real Estate was the last place to rent in Laramie, I would live in my car.

I have not rented from Karen, but I did however deal with her on the phone on a few occasions in regards to my nieces apartment. Karen was pretty difficult when it came to getting things done, like some pictures of the apartment, having time to do a walk through upon entering and leaving, answering calls or emails, and getting deposits back. I can understand the difficulties with renting to college students, but they deserve the same respect as anyone else. Most often it will be there first apartment, perhaps try guiding more and being helpful instead of ignoring them? After all, that is part of your paycheck, and boils down to customer service.

Karen went above and beyond any expectations I had. I had to move to Laramie last minute and I needed to find a home. I didn't have time to travel 6 hours to Laramie to look at homes or potential homes. I able to give her a description of what I needed and she came through. She put more into searching for me than I ever could have expected, especially since it wasn't a large commission whatsoever. Buying with Karen was made INCREDIBLY easy, and she made selling it even easier. 11/10 would recommend and I would come back again and again!

My partner and I have lived in one of Karen Valentine Pond’s properties for two years now and have loved it! Karen is very kind and professional, and the apartment was an absolute steal for being pet friendly! 10/10 would recommend!
