I called to request a credit line increase on my credit card and the representative treated me very poorly and appeared to be racist towards me. She was very rude and extremely unprofessional. She treated me like I was lying, I have excellent credit and have never made any late payments, very poor experience. They need new staff or to train their current staff to treat everyone with dignity and respect.

Moving here from another state, I kept my account for a year. I decided it was time to get a bank that was closer. I went in, had a reasonable wait, no problems switching accounts, everyone was friendly. I had never banked at a credit union before, was always told they are a better banking experience. Fast forward...about a mth later.....put a check in the bank...on hold for 10 days!! Was told because it's within 30 days....ugh....had my Verizon bill taken out, currently on hold, WTF I bought gas, on hold.....playing with people's money is not right!! Going back to my out of state bank where i got pd a day earlier, checks went right through, purchases went right through, and didnt have to wait for any if it!!....Just wanted warn people DONT BOTHER GOING HERE!!

Sketchy business practices. They hold your money as long as they can before disbursing it into your account, much longer than any other bank I've ever banked with. You're better off with BB&T or Bank of America, and I don't believe in big banks.

My visit to this branch was turned around by Latasha Davis. Initially, the staff member in the lobby was a bit cold/evasive and the wait time was horrendous. Once called to be assisted Latasha was so personable, helpful, patient and respected my time. Thank you!

The Colonial Heights branch has very knowledgeable personal bankers. You may wait a few minutes on their waiting list, but the information they provide is worth the wait. Great rates on all types of loans. I would highly recommend any of them. Shout out to Leah for assisting me with my loan decision.

Be prepared to wait a long, long time there. It never seems to be a sense of urgency for the staff when there is only one teller available for 15 people in line. Should be an easy fix…… but always the same. Maybe the staff there believe that we all take the day off when visiting the bank, and have nothing else to do. Is very frustrating.

I will add here that the customer service has been great though. So much so that I’m seriously thinking about doing all my banking at the Virginia Credit Union.

I haven't been a member a month yet and I have had to get 5 yes 5 bank cards. I've gotten a new card in the branch and they still mail me a card. Insane!! Customer service is great though inside the Chesterfield branch. Fraud department still haven't put my funds back into my account. And checked my account today and someone has already taken funds out of my account. On the card I just got through FedEx. Smh

First impressions mean a lot and they failed it for me. On my first time in this bank it took 1-1/2 hours do to a wire transfer. Definitely would not do day-to-day business with this bank at all.
