When I was house hunting I came across some properties managed by Weiss. Although I didn't end up residing in any of their units, I was really impressed by their staff. Very responsive and easy to communicate with. Definitely would consider leasing with them in the future.

Just know that if your residence is so-called managed by these ppl, the value will quickly decrease, be kept filthy dirty, customer service is practically non-existent and repairs are a joke. If ppl could afford to move they would because the property used to be clean and well kept up, yearly maintenance to vents and smoke detectors in apartments was done. Plants, common areas and furniture is filthy, dead and abandoned. This company was the worst thing that could have happened I don’t know what building owner would think these lazy nasty slobs could manage a property unless it’s just to save money at the tenants expense. The rent were being charged does not compare to the horrible conditions we now live under.

Was a tenant at 856 S Catalina St. Although my experience wasn’t too bad, I felt completely disrespected by the onsite manager there after he tried tricking me into paying a years worth of increased rent (literally only totaled about $50 something) which I don’t doubt was per instructions of upper management. Goes to show how cheap they are as I was on a month to month basis at that point so it makes no sense to charge a years worth upfront. The unit I rented was a corner unit on the second floor. Overall good condition inside, but I advise anyone considering renting here to NOT get a unit towards the back alley as the dumpster trucks will become annoying to deal with in terms of loudness and HORRIBLE smell. Ironically enough I was charged $25 from my security deposit for “pet odor” when in reality my unit was right above the dumpster so of course it’s going to smell! Even the hallways alone stink! Also a lot of police activity during my time there and at one point the building was on lockdown. Also encountered a homeless man sleeping in the hallway right in front of my door and also there is a homeless drugged out man who consistently hangs around the back alley and has a tendency to shout loudly which would also get annoying. Would not rent with this property management again and I have no doubt you can find better options in ktown at the same price point.

Regarding the property at 1129 N. Madison Ave., Los Angeles, CA, 90029

I was a tenant under this property for about 2 years. It was fine until they started doing renovation in the unit next to me without any notice. I would wake up to banging on the wall, drilling, etc. I complained to the manager and the owner of the building. They told me that it would be done in about two weeks from when I contacted them. That renovation went on for about 4 months. 🙂

The next thing you know they start doing construction outside as well. So while there is renovation going on next door, there is stucco going on right outside my window. The construction workers would start at 7AM sometimes. Sometimes they would be on site before they started working, just talking and yelling, right outside the window.

At some point they started jack hammering and even put up scaffolding. It didn't seem like the construction workers they hired were legit either. Back when it was raining super heavy, they forgot to seal the wall on the outside after doing the stucco. So the water started leaking in the bathroom eventually leading to mold growth. I communicated this problem to both the manager and the owner and they didn't even respond right away.

While all this was going on, the rent went up twice. Don't bother renting from any properties owned by these people. They're just money hungry and don't care about their tenants. Slumlords.

I lived at this apartment for over 2 years and I have no complaints. The manager here is very professional and really cares about her tenants living environment. Every time I bump into her she always asks if i have any issues.
Every time i report an issue with my apartment the manager makes sure it gets resolved in a timely manner. The hallway always smells really good and is always clean. I recently moved out because i wanted a bigger apartment but if i had a choice i would definitely move back because the manager is amazing and professional. If you are reading this dont hesitate to move in! You will be in good hands with the manager!

Expensive rent but 3rd world conditions. Need to wade thru knee deep water to get to parking lot. Water full of sewage, trash and flesh eating becteria. Cars cannot start because submerged under water causing engine, brake and electronic failure. Very poor service and maintenance.

Regarding the property, 826 S Catalina St, LA, CA 90005:

The apartment manager has been accused of hiring unlicensed repair workers (known as "Alpha and Omega Construction" with blue truck).

There are two parking lots, one near the alleyway and one near the entrance. No double-parking unless you want a sticky residue from the label states "No parking" on your car window.

There is only one washer and one dryer, which is very inconvenient for all tenants, especially since there is always one tenant who hogs the laundry room for the entire day.

It is not safe to ship packages to this location because there is no intercom or keypad to allow delivery drivers access to the building. Some delivery drivers have told me that they either leave packages with whoever happens to be opening the gate when they leave, or simply toss them over the gate, where they are visible to the public street.

The most inconvenient times are when the manager has repair work done and needs to randomly enter tenants' units to check any leaks, with or without permission.

The popcorn ceilings in the apartment are old and falling apart. One piece even fell off and landed on my face and food. This is a serious safety hazard, especially for the old and Asian tenants who have lived in the apartment for many years.

The only thing the manager did well at, cleaning the apartment and installing cameras.
