Writing to share my recent experience with Wilbur. We were interesting in renting an office space and spent 20hrs+ visiting, appraising the property with a gen contractor and producing a detailed offer.

Tale of two halves — the owner Anne is experienced, approachable, gracious with time and answering questions about the property. She instills trust and made us feel comfortable as prospective tenants.

On the other hand, towards the end, at the offer stage we were switched to Tyler Cobb (Director) with who we had a poor experience. He switched spots with Anne without any notice and did very little to build trust. When we made the offer, he didn’t get back until after the deadline and eventually passed with a tone deaf email. We’d have appreciated a conversation about the offer, how the counterparty was thinking, or atleast a call to communicate. I wish we hadn’t worked with Tyler. He is young, inexperienced and cold. He wasn’t unprofessional, but needs to learn better communication and how to build trust.

Net-net: I’ll deal with Wilbur Properties and Anne in a heartbeat. But avoid their new hires, especially Tyler Cobb.
