Lived here for 5 months, really enjoyed my time. Super great maintenance staff and very fair. Never had a landlord so nice on the security deposit, lol. Buildings are super pretty and mine was well kept, especially for a building that was over 100 years old. Felt they were very fair when I had to break my lease as I only had to give 2 months notice.

I've been living at a Wilkins property for the last 3 years and have nothing but great things to say. Being that it's an older building, normally wear and tear happened- but with Wilkins, I would put in a service request and would receive a response the day of. Water pressure/temp are great and the heat is included with the rent, can't complain about that in the brutal Wisconsin winters.

I've since outgrown my studio on the east side, but am sticking with Wilkins at a new location. Will stick with Wilkins until I'm ready to buy a home.

1237 N Cass has ideal location, loved the tall ceilings, but that’s where it ends. Love old buildings but this place is just straight neglected. There’s zero improvements, bathroom walls were caving due to water damage over the years. Literally could push in the wall by the toilet. There was some strange pink bathroom mold I could not get rid of no matter the bleach, steaming or cleaning I did. My first weeks there I was getting bitten by fleas, managements response was meh. They did help with giving me a credit, usually responded to maintenance requests within a reasonable time, but literally LEFT SCARS! On my body from the flea bites. It was so bad, I had to go to urgent care. Still took a while to abate the problem, the pest guy they hired said the basement was infested with fleas. Basement was gross, dusty, dirty, scary looking. Developed some allergies all of a sudden. Once I moved out, I no longer had allergies. Rent is semi-cheap, but you get what you pay for here, fleas, mold issues with health problems, no AC, homeless ppl breaking into your cars all the time. For an 800 sq ft place I also paid wayyyyy to much for heat in the winter. Should of spent more on a nicer place.

And oh yeah, packages were constantly stolen all the time or dropped to the wrong building. Delivery guys there just suck.
