I wouldn't recommend William H. Talley & Sons to my worst enemy!

What is the point of having an insurance broker anyway, versus dealing with the insurance company directly?

Getting a real person when you call and avoiding long waits on-hold, are among my top reasons. But, even more importantly, a good broker is someone with lots of industry experience who looks after you, their client, to make sure you have the right amount of insurance when you need it and don't fall through the cracks.

That is where William H. Talley & Sons has failed me. When they converted my Anthem legacy plan to the new ACA compliant plan they totally failed to include the dental and vision coverage that I had previously. Because of their blatant neglect, Anthem is trying to impose a waiting period of 12 months! I understand that mistakes happen, but this is more than just a small error, it is gross neglect!

Even worse, they failed to enroll my wife on my medical policy by Jan. 1, 2015, which is the date she resigned from her job and therefore lost group coverage. That means she is currently UNINSURED! Even grosser neglect!

In order to right their wrong and take care of #1 (their client), all W.H. Talley & Sons needed to do was call Anthem and explain that it was their error that caused the lapse of coverage, and Anthem would backdate her policy to 1/1/2015. I had two completely different brokers and an actual Anthem Advisor tell me they would backdate the policy if only the broker would call and admit neglect. W.H. Talley & Sons refused to do this and actually tried shifting the blame back on me!

What really stings, is that I have given this company my business for nearly 12 years. They have earned commission off me for 12 years, and wouldn't even stand up for me when I needed them most.

Is that the kind of broker you want looking after your best interests and that of your family? I think not!

Shame on you W.H. Talley & Sons!
