Was chastised for taking pictures of the merchandise and then was accused of being some sort of secret shopper from another store
"trying to steal designs". Very bizarre and unusual reaction from a salesperson. I wish I could return the $40 shirt I bought, not worth the harassment and poor service.

We came to Beaufort, North Carolina from Knoxville, Tennessee, in June 2024. We purchased a pair of sweatpants from Wind Tide for $47. They were quite cute! However, when we got them back to the condo, we discovered that they had a hole in them. We brought them back to Wind Tide to show them the hole and to ask for an exchange, and we had the receipt. We had them less than four days. We had never worn them as it is June in North Carolina and extremely hot for mountain folks. We planned to wear them back in the TN mountains. Wind Tide not only refused the exchange, but also accused us of wearing the pants, which was the part that bothered me the most. They had not been worn. I understand a no exchange policy, but I don’t appreciate being called a liar. I have never seen customer service so bad in my life. We have shopped here in the past, and we will be doing it no longer.

This is a neat little shop right on the water in Beaufort with an amazing selection of t-shirts and sweatshirts, and they are all amazingly soft and comfortable! If you're looking for a comfy reminder of your visit to Beaufort, this is the place you need to shop!! The staff is super friendly and helpful and there are some great views from the back of the shop! Don't pass it by!!

Best tshirts in Beaufort, hands down. Came in and right away got what I wanted! Adorable store- no competition for a place offering better shirts in town.

Only reason I give lower rating is because staff wasn’t wearing a mask at the register. As a tourist, it makes me feel more comfortable seeing the locals taking COVID seriously.

Giving this store a 1 star because of how rude the young male worker was towards another customer. While I was looking for clothes another customer came in asking a simple question about the parking meters out front. After that customer left, the young man was mocking their question and telling his co-workers, even his own mom, how “stupid” the question was. Even stating that they “need to figure it out for themselves.” If a simple question bothers someone that bad where they feel the need to complain about it for over 5 minutes for the whole store to hear, then they should not be in the customer service field. Very disappointing and was not expecting that behavior from a worker that I would assume deals with tourist regularly and should be accustomed to questions that none locals may have.

my family and i visit beaufort, north carolina annually and always make an effort to stop by wind tide. we love getting shirts here every year as a souvenir from our trip. by far our favorite place to shop on front street. tons of different shirts and designs to choose from and inclusive for everyone with sizes ranging from small to 3XL. always easy to find a shirt, sweatshirt, hat, or necklace that fits your style at this store. 10/10 would recommend.

I purchased three tshirts for $110. One shirt did not fit. When I went to return/exchange it at 10:30 am on a Sunday on my way out of town the store was not open despite posted hours saying it should be. Now I am saddled with a $45 tshirt that doesn’t fit. They need to either update their hours or actually be there when they say they will be.
